The 3rd Busan Global Partnership Forum and the Global Partnership Learning and Accelerating Programme will be held in Korea this year on October 6-7 and 4-5, respectively.
In 2014, the Korean government launched the annual Busan Global Partnership Forum and the Global Partnership Learning and Accelerating Program with the aim of supporting the implementation of the Busan commitments at the country level and sustaining the ambitions of the Global Partnership.
This year is a critical juncture in international development co-operation as it marks the first year of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Following the World Humanitarian Summit in May, and the UN High-Level Political Forum and the Development Cooperation Forum in July, the 2nd GPEDC High-Level Meeting is scheduled to take place in Nairobi from November 30 to December 1. This meeting would be a culmination of this year’s international development co-operation discussions, and is expected to give a great push to the development effectiveness agenda. Against this backdrop, the 3rd Busan Forum will contribute to the success of the High-Level Meeting by building a positive momentum with your invaluable participation.
