With 4 out of 7 billion people living under poverty, the Asia-Pacific region sees critical importance for their engagement and voices being heard on political dialogue on development cooperation. With growing diversity of development actors as well as complex development challenges in the region, the effective development cooperation agenda continues to be an important issue. The Asia-Pacific Regional Workshop was hosted by the Republic of Korea and Bangladesh. It was organized by UNDP Seoul Policy Center and UNDP Asia –Pacific Regional Service Center and took place on 11 March 2014 in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
The region looked forward for the Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation to amplify the added value of development cooperation in a more complex landscape, and to this end, called urgently for solid and tangible links between the Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation to the 2030 development agenda as one of the contributions on how that underpins the work moving forward.
