Global Partnership monitoring provides evidence on progress in implementing effective development co-operation commitments at the country, regional and global level, supporting accountability among all development partners.
The Global Partnership’s monitoring framework is a recognised vehicle for mutual accountability on the effectiveness of development co-operation, and is a source of evidence for the UN Statistical Commission to monitor progress on SDGs 5 and 17. It tracks development stakeholders’ progress towards more effective development co-operation, namely how effectively partner countries put in place conducive environments and systems to maximise the impact of development co-operation; and how effectively international development partners deliver their support including on unfinished business.
