The coordination of international co-operation efforts in Peru requires an adequate political framework. In response to this need, the Peruvian Agency for International Co-operation (APCI in Spanish) - the governing body responsible for promoting the effectiveness and transparency of co-operation in Peru - has prepared this National Policy for International Co-operation as the master axis to guide these efforts.
The National Policy for International Co-operation seeks to provide unity, orientation and coherence to co-operation in Peru. The remainder of this policy is divided into four sections:
The 1st presents the general framework of the policy;
the 2nd addresses the fundamental principles that Peru proposes to guide co-operation interventions.
the 3rd sets out the objectives and priorities for international co-operation, recognizing Peru as both a recipient and a source; and
the 4th concludes with some concluding remarks.
