Our 2020-2022 Work Programme

The international 2030 Agenda provides a frame for the global community to align and consolidate its efforts for sustainable development. Yet, governments and other actors are currently off track in reaching the SDGs and mobilizing the necessary resources, as set out in the 2015 Addis Ababa Action Agenda. Additionally, the COVID-19 global pandemic risks undoing hard-won development gains and undermining the ability to achieve national development plans. The international community will have to redouble its resolve to work together, using 2030 Agenda as the shared framework to build back better together and get back on track to achieve the 2030 Agenda. This situation underscores the need for strong and effective partnerships at the heart of our response.
Our Work in 2020-2022: The GPEDC Work Programme
The Global Partnership for Effective Development Co-operation is committed to building more effective development partnerships across a series of action areas that help accelerate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. The overall vision of the Work Programme 2020-2022 is to ensure that effective development co-operation partnerships help accelerate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. The Partnership's Work Programme, adopted in May 2020, draws on the results of the 2018 monitoring exercise and guidance from the Co-Chairs and Steering Committee.
Three Strategic Priorities
The below three strategic priorities will guide the Partnership's contribution to begin the "Decade of Action" and see the Partnership to its next High-Level Meeting on effectiveness scheduled for 2022.
