As we are in between working group calls, I would like to share with you an interesting read that is also very relevant for our future work at GPEDC. Philanthropy U, Conrad H. Hilton Foundation and GSVlabs released a report, SDG Partnerships Agenda 2030: Accelerating Progress, calling upon governments, civil society, philanthropy and the private sector to commit to engage in multi-stakeholder partnerships with the objective of accelerating progress towards Agenda 2030. The how-to-guide and case studies included in the report can serve as a resource tool for stakeholders on how to establish better partnerships that actively include the voices of civil society and local actors in line with the development effectiveness principles that emphasize the importance of country ownership and inclusive partnerships. Let’s consider how to use this resource to inspire our work in developing guidance for effective philanthropic engagement in development co-operation.
