The National Strategic Orientation Committee (French: CNOS)

National level:

  • chaired by the Prime Minister
  • Secretariat: Minister in charge of the economy
  • Chamber of commerce and industry
  • Association of municipalities
  • National council of civil society
  • National assembly, etc.

The CNOS is the orientation and decision-making body. It is responsible for setting the strategic, operational and budgetary orientations for the implementation and monitoring/evaluation of the CREDD and the SDGs.

The CNOS meets twice a year (July and December)

Political and Technical Steering Committee

National level:

  • chaired by the Minister of Economy
  • vice-presidency is held by the Minister in charge of development

The ministers, representatives of local authorities, the private sector, civil society and technical and financial partners are members of the Steering Committee.

The Steering Committee meets once a quarter and whenever necessary. Its technical secretariat is provided by the Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper (PRSP) Technical Coordination Unit in collaboration with the Environment and Sustainable Development Agency.
